Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech

The Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech is a 150,000-square-foot facility that includes a performance hall with a 1,260-seat theatre, visual arts galleries, amphitheater, four-story experimental Cube, multiple studios, and the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology. The center also offers a multimedia studio, production control room, newsroom, and associated classroom in support of the School of Communication.

Building History

Groundbreaking for the center was held on June 21, 2010. The center was named for artist and donor Patricia Buckley Moss on Oct. 23, 2013. The center officially opened on Oct. 28, 2013, and operated as the Moss Arts Center until June 2025.
